Overview
The City of Paola does have leash and license laws for both dogs and cats. Licenses for dogs and cats expire on December 31 of each year and can be obtained at City Hall by providing current proof of rabies vaccination and payment of the appropriate license fee:
- Dogs or Cats – not neutered or spayed: $10 / year
- Dogs or Cats – spayed or neutered: $5 / year
Restrictions
There are also restrictions regarding dogs and cats in the City of Paola. Each premise is limited to two dogs and/or two cats. Dogs or cats running at large within the city are subject to impoundment and the owner may be subject to a fine.
