Parks Department


The Grounds / Parks Department provides all maintenance and mowing of city parks and facilities, as well as Lake Miola.

  • Lake Miola

    This approximately 725 acre area offers a variety of water sports, including boating, skiing, swimming, and fishing. Also available are camping and picnic areas, a playground and hiking trails.
  • Petroleus Park

    A small neighborhood park that offers a small basketball court, swings and picnic tables.
  • Wallace Park

    In 1910 Wallace Park consisted of 12 acres; in 1912 an additional 30 acres was added. Wallace Park offers a variety of recreational activities including a playground, skate park, tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball, and softball diamonds. There are also picnic shelters, and the Paola Family Swimming Pool.
  • Whitaker Park

    This neighborhood park consists of approximately 1.96 acres and offers a playground, picnic tables, and a walking trail.
